Hubei Provincial Tourism School (HPTS), founded in 1979 as the only full-time tourism and hospitality school subordinate to the Provincial Tourism Administration Bureau of Hubei province, is one of the earliest four schools of tourism sponsored by the National Tourism Commission. At present, its enrolments of more than 3,300 students and its graduates every year to meet the industrial demands in China have fully justified the school as the cradle to foster workforces for hotels, travel agencies and other sections in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Set in an ideal location surrounded by colleges and universities in the well-known Wuchang, Wuhan city, Hubei Province, the school is better accommodated, staffed and equipped than before with the aims focused on “service, quality, employment, and qualification” for school development and “Morality, Language Competent, Service Skill, Physical fit” for student development. It also aims at the high potential oversea employment market in tourist industry by training students with capable foreign language proficiency and on-job experience, as well as career planning.
